2550069 - False "Page Verification Error: Table Corrupt" error may be reported when dumping database with verify=HEADER - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Include a standalone ASE system as a managed system in the Solution Manager system.
  • Now when taking a database backup with the verify=header option on, the Backup Server reports the following error on the table sap_alive_check table:

D00: Attempting dsync I/O for device '/path/device'
Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database XXX: 18278 kilobytes (1%) DUMPED.
Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database XXX: 37424 kilobytes (1%) DUMPED.
Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database XXX: 56698 kilobytes (1%) DUMPED.
D00: Page Verification Error: Table Corrupt: The row number and offset of each row in the page should have a matching entry in row number table; check this page (page#=9953 row#=0 offset in row number table=32).
D00: SYBMULTBUF WARNING: One or more errors have been reported while performing consistency checks on the pages being dumped. The affected pages will be reread in an attempt to discard spurious errors.
D00: SYBMULTBUF WARNING: After rereading the pages, the consistency check has continued to report one or more errors.

  • Running the DBCC checks does not report any error.
