2550461 - Enable or Disable the Candidate Privacy Options to candidates set their own visibility - Recruiting Management

When a new candidate is creating an account, there is an option in the end of the form called "Make My Profile Visible to" with three options:

• Any company recruiter worldwide
• Any company recruiter in my country of residence
• Only recruiters managing jobs I apply to

How to enable or disable the option for the candidate to select the Candidate Privacy Options when creating a new account?

Based on the configurations set in the back end (Provisioning), the candidate can choose, when creating a new account, who has the ability to view their candidate profile.

If "Ask external candidates to set their visibility settings when creating an account profile" is enabled, these options will be displayed when a new candidate registers.

It is possible to let the external candidate decide about their own visibility inside the recruiting environment, by enabling this option in the back end (Provisioning). If the option is disabled, the candidate visibility privacy will always be set to "Any company recruiter worldwide".

If the Data Privacy Option was always disabled, the expected behaviour is that the system will set all the candidates to "Any company recruiter worldwide". Which means that the options "Any company recruiter in my country of residence" and "Only recruiters managing jobs I apply to" will not come into play.

If the Data Privacy Option was enabled previously, and disabled at a later date, the behaviour will be as follows:

• Candidates created post disablement - Behaviour will be the same as mentioned above.
• Candidate created prior to disablement - In this case, candidate's privacy statement will not be updated to "All recruiters worldwide". They will remain as chosen by the candidate prior to the disablement.

Note that this can cause issues in candidate search results, candidate forwarding and other related functionality.
