2550912 - Oracle 11g - arguments dbSidOrSrcObject and dbHome are not valid

Symptom

  • You are performing an Unicode Convesion/System Copy with SWPM and you get the following error during the export phase:
Last error reported by the step: Assertion failed: OraSqlContext constructor: arguments dbSidOrSrcObject and dbHome are not valid)
  • One of the two possible scenarios may be seen SWPM logs:

Scenario 1:

TRACE dbHome directory not exists: /oracle/<sid>/112_64
TRACE OraSqlContext._checkDbSidDbHome: dbHome: '/oracle/<sid>/112_64' is not a valid ORACLE_HOME directory.
ERROR Assertion failed: OraSqlContext constructor: arguments dbSidOrSrcObject and dbHome are not valid.

Scenario 2:

TRACE 2020-03-09 13:18:08.125 (root/sapinst) (startInstallation)
OraSqlContext._checkDbSidDbHome: dbHome: '/oracle/<SID>/112' is not a valid ORACLE_HOME directory.
ERROR 2020-03-09 13:18:08.125 (root/sapinst) (startInstallation) [CInstallerCallBackImpl.cpp:260] id=ind-rel.ind-os.ind-db.assertionFailed errno=CJS-00030 CInstallerCallBackImpl::abortInstallation()
Assertion failed: OraSqlContext constructor: arguments dbSidOrSrcObject and dbHome are not valid.
