2551054 - Error message when trying to send notification: SQLException in MailServiceImpl - sendEmail()

Symptom

The admin receives the following exception when trying to send e-mail notification.

com.plateausystems.elms.util.helper.ElmsNotifyException: SQLException in MailServiceImpl - sendEmail()

 Caused by: java.sql.BatchUpdateException: ORA-04098: trigger '<instancename>_TMS.PA_MAIL_TRIGGER' is invalid and failed re-validation

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into HCM > navigate to Learning Administration > People > Users >
  2. Search for the required user and access its record >
  3. At the 'Actions' button, click on 'Send Notification' and try to trigger a notification.

Cause

Invalid trigger.

Resolution

Create a case to SAP support, under the 'LOD-SF-LMS-NOT'.

SAP operations team needs to be engaged to verify the PA_MAIL_TRIGGER table.
