Symptom
When attempting to launch the SCC using the desktop shortcut, an error message appears stating "Could not open service manager".
Or, SAP cloud connector UI is not opening, getting error "Site cannot be reached".
Additionally, when trying to initiate the service through Windows administrative tools, the service fails to start.
In the trace file, entries similar to the ones below can be observed:
- "stopping cloud connector since port [port] is used by another process with PID = [PID]"
- "ERROR: stopping cloud connector since port [port] is used by another process with PID = [PID]"
- "ERROR: stopping Cloud connector since port [port] appears to be used by another process"
