Symptom

When editing Biographical Information and clicking Save the following error is seen:

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core
  • Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open an Employee Profile
  2. Locate Biographical Information
  3. Click on the pencil icon to edit
  4. Make a change in any field
  5. Save and notice the Unexpected failure error

Resolution

In this scenario, clearing the MDF cache resolved the problem, please reference KB article 2534674.
