Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud 2017.19.3
Reproducing the Issue
- Configure CORS on SAP HANA running on SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) per https://help.sap.com/doc/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/release/en-US/58c890e1c89d41e69b2cec31bac2d95f.html
- Successfully retrieve JSON from https://<HANA HOST>:<HANA PORT>/sap/bc/ina/service/v2/GetServerInfo
- Connect to SAP Analytics Cloud tenant
- Create a Live Data Connection to SAP HANA using Direct connection type
- Notice the error
Cause
SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) production systems have a strict firewall that blocks Cross Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) headers by default
Resolution
Enter an SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) Service Request as ask them to allow Cross Origin Resource Sharing headers through the firewall
