2553679 - Signal 6 in gsignal() when selecting data from a numeric column mapped to HANA - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • A client connection is unexpectedly terminated.
  • ASE errorlog contains an "infected with sgnal 6" error in the module gsignal() with a stack trace:

Current process (0x270014) infected with signal 6 (SIGABRT/SIGIOT)
Address 0x0x00003fff7eeaf2dc (gsignal+0xac), siginfo (code, address) = (-6, 0x0x00003cf90000bd31)

  • The stack trace includes the following functions:

cfree
pci_free
free
OdbcRemoteAccess::freeColumns

OdbcRemoteAccess::CleanUp
OdbcRemoteAccess::Destructor
HanaOdbcRemoteAccess::Destructor
destroyRemoteAccess
