Symptom

  • The ASE errorlog displays a critical warning indicating that space available in the log segment has fallen critically low in the 'tempdb' database.
  • Future modifications to the 'tempdb' database are suspended until the log is successfully dumped and space becomes available.
  • Error 2812 is encountered with Severity 16 and State 15
  • The stored procedure 'sp_thresholdaction' is not found, and the error suggests specifying owner.objectname or using sp_help to verify the object's existence.
