2555746 - Item Connector - The new revision date must be after the previous revision

After running the Item Connector, the message "The new revision date must be after the previous revision" is seen.

An item record has three different primary keys:

• Item ID
• Revision Date
• Item Type'

If any of the primary keys differ from the record in the system, a new item is created. If the Revision Date in the input file of the connector has an earlier date value than what the latest versions of the item record is in the system, the "The new revision date must be after the previous revision" message will occur. This is due to the fact that only revision dates in the future of the current latest version item record are allowed in the system when revising an item.

To correct this error:

1. Identify the latest revision date of the item record
2. Update the Item Connector input file with the latest revision date
3. Run the Item Connector

If a new revision with a revision date that is later/future of the current latest revision date record is wanted, add in the date to the Item Connector input file.
