2556310 - Garbled character is displayed in SAP system message in Non Unicode system

Symptom

There are different scenarios which can display SAP system message, e.g.

  • Example 1:

The same SAP user logs on to SAP system for the second time and terminate the existing session.

  • Example 2:

Execute transaction code SE37 -> Function module "TH_POPUP" -> display some multiple text like Japanese.

  • Example 3:

Open 6 session. In the 6th session, click on the button on the Upper left corner,
a menu will be displayed, click on the "Create Session" button (the second one from the bottom) from the menu,
a SAP system message is displayed, but it's not displayed correctly.
