2557181 - "Cannot get remote sources objects" from Spark SQL - HANA SDA data source

You have configured an SDA data source with Spark SQL. When you try to list the objects in the remote data source, it hangs for some time then it fails with the following error:

SAP DBTech JDBC: [403]: internal error: Cannot get remote source objects: Connection has been closed.

In the indexserver trace file you can see the following message:

SparkSQLAccess.cpp(03354) : SparkSQLAccess::testConnection: Connection closed!: failed with error: Connection has been closed.
Generic stream error: getsockopt, Event=EPOLLERR - , rc=110: Connection timed out; $channel$={<NetworkChannel>={<NetworkChannelBase>={this=140523089710616, fd=328, refCnt=1, idx=8, local=192.168.247.178/0_tcp, remote=192.168.247.178/7860_tcp, state=ConnectWait, pending=[rw-c]}}}
