Currently the simulation is only triggered for bookings inside the validity period of a time account. In the sample above, there is an account for 2017. A time account for 2018 does not exist. In case a succession account would exist, the simulation would be triggered for the 2018 account. But it would not consider the 2017 account for simulation.

The reason for that logic is that the simulation until the end of the booking period might lead to wrong results if customers are using period-end-processing or interim account updates at year end to cap the balance.

We would recommend raising an Enhancement Request under Employee Central Time Off Product Management for roadmap consideration.
