2558792 - Taskengine not working due to deletion of the Application Server Taskengine in a multiple Taskengine server scenario

Symptom

There are multiple Taskengines installed, one installed on the Application server and others on different servers

Deletion of the Application Server Task Engine in a multiple Taskengine scenario leads to all other TaskEngines not working and errors in the log files as follows:

  • There was no endpoint listening at http://[server]:2605/TaskEngineService/ that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.
  • The underlying connection was closed: A connection that was expected to be kept alive was closed by the server.
  • Unable to connect to the remote server
