2559746 - System Triggers Error Message when Customer Demand is Released "Sales Order XX item YY not released; not all items of delivery grp are confirmed"

A sales order with multiple line items among, it only has one line item with green ATP status while the others have red ATP status. In the sales order, it has been selected the 'Complete Delivery' checkbox and assumed its should not be visible in the customer demand unless all the line items have green ATP status.

When releasing this customer demand, the following error occurs:
-Sales Order item not released; not all items of delivery grp are confirmed

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to Outbound Logistics Control work center.
2. Go to Customer Demand view.
3. Search for the sales order line item ID XY (XY indicates line item id)
4. Select Release

When creating the sales order with the Complete Delivery Order option and releasing the order, the system will show the sales order in the Customer Demand view; but when tryng to release that sales order, the system will throw the above error message.

As one or more of the line items have the red ATP status. Only when all the line items have green ATP status, the sales order is able to be released for execution.

Further, the Customer Demand view helps to provide an overview of demand which comes from the sales orders, services orders etc. and helps the supply planner, to check the demand and further confirm whether the requested demand has been fulfilled or not.

In order to resolve the issue, if anticipate that one of the line item cannot have enough stock for confirmation, kindly uncheck Complete Delivery checkbox by following steps.

1. Go to Sales Order Work Center
2. Navigate to Sales Order View
3. Select Edit on the relevant Sales Order
4. Navigate to General tab
5. Uncheck Complete Delivery checkbox
6. Save the Changes.
