2560634 - You Notice That One Child Territory Has the Wrong Level in Your Territory Hierarchy

Symptom

Territory DEF (DEF is a child Territory within your hierarchy with a parent Territory ABC) is represented on the parent level.

Environment

SAP HYBRIS CLOUD FOR CUSTOMER

Reproducing the Issue

Prerequisite: You opted for the Excel upload to create this hierarchy.

  1. Go to the Sales workcenter.
  2. Go to the Territories view.
  3. Select All territories.
  4. Expand Names until you find Territory DEF.

Result: You can see that Territory DEF is of higher level than ABC despite being the child Territory.

Cause

The sequence of rows in your excel sheet is not representing the child-parent relationship of this Territory within the hierarchy.

Resolution

In the excel template, make sure that a parent Territory is coming before the child Territory in sequence. If one of the excel rows says that create Territory X with parent Y (Y is not in the system yet, but in the excel rows only), but the row containing Y comes after this row for X, the sequence triggers another system behaviour. Within this sequence, the system tries to find the Territory Y in the system and is not successful, and thus assumes that this is the territory of the highest level.

Please kindly correct the sequence of rows in your excel. Any territory whose parent territory is not in the system - but in the excel - should appear in excel after that parent territory row.
