2561709 - ITS Up/Down: Application Blocked by Java Security

Symptom

Run SAP GUI for HTML (WebGUI) when the Java applet (E.G., upload, download, execute or other frontend service method) is invoked,
a security warning dialog stating that the certificate used to identify the application has expired.

See following "Java Application Blocked" screenshot for one of the typical security warning:

Application Blocked by Java Security
For security, applications must now meet the requirements for the High or Very High security
settings, or be part of the Exception Site List, to be allowed to run

Reason: Your security settings have blocked an application signed with an expired or
              not-yet-valid certificate from running
