2561956 - How to View Material Valuation Data Changes

You want to check certain Valuation Data changes of a Material such as a change of the Perpetual Cost Method.
You are trying to view the changes in the Product Master Data changes tab.
However, no Valuation Data change is visible here.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Product Data Work Centre.
2. Click on Materials.
3. Show all Materials and search for XXX (XXX represents the Material ID).
4. Click on the Material ID and then View All.
5. Navigate to Changes tab.

Result: You cannot find information related to Valuation Data changes.

This is the current system behaviour. This type of information will only be available in the Maintain Valuation Data tab.

In order to check Valuation data changes such as a Perpetual Cost Method change for a Material, please follow the below steps in the system:

1. Go to the Inventory Valuation Work Centre.
2. Go to Materials under Master Data View.
3. Show All Materials and Find XXX.
4. Select the Material line and click on Maintain Valuation Data.
5. Click on View Changes.

Result: You will have access to the exhaustive list of all Valuation Data changes such as Perpetual Cost Method changes that occurred for this specific Material.
