Symptom

  • Scheduling a report using a custom To: or From: fields fails but selecting the 'Use Default Settings' option sends the email successfully
  • Error:
    server error. [Error intializing SMTP server. Return code: [TCP open failed.]. Reason: [<mailserver>:<port>:.]: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]
