2563525 - Error Message 'Base Price List with same validity already exists' Raised when Releasing Base Price List

You are trying to release a Base Price List DEF which is either Partially Release or Not Released. Error messages  'Action failed' and 'Base Price List ABC with same validity already exists' are triggered (DEF stands for the new Base Price List to be released, ABC stands for another Base Price List with overlapping validity dates).

1. Go to the Product and Service Portfolio work centre.
2. Go to the Pricing view.
3. Navigate to the Price Lists subview.
4. Show: Base Price List.
5. Select Price List XYZ (where XYZ is the ID of the Price List to Edit).
6. Click on the Release button and choose Release.

Error messages 'Action failed' and 'Base Price List ABC with same validity already exists' are raised.

This error message is raised because you have one or several Base Price Lists with overlapping validity dates that exists already.

1. Go to the Product and Service Portfolio work centre.
2. Go to the Pricing view.
3. Navigate to the Price Lists subview.
4. Show: Base Price List.
5. Select Base Price List ABC and check its validity date.
6. Go back to Base Price List DEF and adjust its validity so that there is no overlapping in dates (i.e. the Valid From date for DEF should start just after the Valid To date of ABC).
7. Click on the Release button and choose Release.

Alternatively, it is possible that the overlapping dates are on Base Price Lists that are already expired and not displayed in the Worklist. You can identify these Base Price Lists as such:

1. Go to the Product and Service Portfolio work centre.
2. Go to the Pricing view.
3. Navigate to the Price Lists subview.
4. Show: Base Price List.
5. Click in the Advanced Search.
6. Remove the Valid From and Valid To dates, click Go.

All the Base Price Lists, expired or not, are now displayed.

Compare the dates for Base Price List DEF to ensure its Valid From date starts after the Valid To date that is the last further in time.

Click on the Release Button and choose Release again. You now are also able to cancel this Price List as well.
