Resolution
If you have selected the application by e-mail when posting your job offer, the column CVs will be the one to analyze. On the other hand, if you have provided an external URL and selected the application by URL, analytics details will be displayed in Clicks column and applications will be received in the internal application system.
In the first case, only the CVs will be visible since the candidate has sent the application by e-mail.
In the second case, we will be able to count the number of times when candidates clicked on the apply link and were redirected to job details on the external career site.
The small amount of applications can be due to:
- Bad targeting of the job portals (job boards, schools): some job sites are general, other specialized. It’s important to determine the right selection of job portals for each job ad.
- Job content not attractive: when creating your job ads, it is advisable to insert catchphrases and other appealing elements.
- Seasonality of certain positions: jobs such as "waitress" or "tourist guide" can be popular at certain times of the year when relevant candidates will be more active.
- Specific filters of some job boards / schools: once the job ad is transmitted, it can be filtered by the job portals, since it does not respect their standards (for example, minimum wage, minimum education level).
- The application form too long and complicated.
- Application mode refusal: some job portals do not accept both application methods (e-mail and URL), job ads with the incorrect one will be refused.
- Job could not be published at all.
Important note: If after analyzing what is being stated above, you believe there might be still something else causing this behavior, we ask you to please reach out to the Job Board team in which you have the job posted, so you can discuss alternatives. Ultimately, the Recruiting Posting tool functionality is there to send jobs to job boards. If this has been fulfilled, further discussions must be directed towards the team that has published the job.
