2563917 - Overhead Rate Information is Missing When Creating a New Overhead Rule

Symptom

You create a new Overhead Rule.

When you move the Available Overhead Rates to the Overhead Rates to be Calculated the description is missing.

Environment

This happens in Silverlight and HTML 5

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Cost and Revenue work centre.
  2. Go to the Overhead Rule sub view.
  3. Click New - Overhead Rule.
  4. Maintain an Overhead Rule ID and a Company.
  5. Click Next until you come to tab 3 - Select Overhead Rules.
  6. Select Overhead Rate XYZ from the table Available Overhead Rates and move it to the table Overhead Rates to be Calculated (XYZ represents the ID of the Overhead Rate).
  7. You see that the description is missing for the Overhead Rate XYZ.

Cause

The Overhead Rate ID XYZ is the same as the Overhead Rule ID for the newly created Overhead Rule.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Cost and Revenue work centre.
  2. Go to the Overhead Rule sub view.
  3. Click New - Overhead Rule.
  4. Maintain an Overhead Rule ID that is different from the Overhead Rate ID XYZ. 
  5. Click Next until you come to tab 3 - Select Overhead Rules.
  6. Select Overhead Rate XYZ from the table Available Overhead Rates and move it to table Overhead Rates to be Calculated.
  7. Information for the Overhead Rate is filled.
