2564058 - Why there are several Released List Prices for same Product

Symptom

You have created a new list price for the product XYZ (XYZ represents the Product ID) and set it to Released.

You are expecting this to cancel the release of the pre-existing list price for the same product, but it is still Released.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Product Portfolio work centre.
  2. Go to List Prices view.
  3. Find XYZ.

Several entries appear in Released status for the same product XYZ.

Cause

In the newly created list price, the Product Category differs from the one used in the existing list price.

If there is even a small difference in both then they are not identical.

Resolution

Since list prices are not identical, therefore creating a new one will not cancel the release of the old one.
