2564410 - Learning Plan Notification: Don't want to notify users for certain assignment/changes

How to block only Learning Plan APM emails to be triggered for the assignment/changes made on users learning plan so that users are not notified of an assignment, without disabling other email notifications

Follow the below steps before making assigning/ making changes to users learning plan:

1. Navigate to System Administration -> Application Administration -> User Settings -> Learning Plan Notification Settings: Disable all the options in it (i.e. Uncheck the option) and click Apply Changes button >
2. Click "Propagate Learning Plan Notification Changes.." button and run the job. This will propagate and disable all the option in all user record >
3. Now once the job is successful, go ahead and make the assignment/changes to users learning plan which you want to perform >
4. Go to Automatic Processes > Run the Learning Plan Email Notification APM (this will ensure that the system processes the changes made to user's Learning Plans and do not trigger the notification once they are re-enabled)
5. Once its completed navigate back to System Administration -> Application Administration -> User Settings -> Learning Plan Notification Settings: Enable all the options as per your requirement and click Apply Changes button >
6. Click "Propagate Learning Plan Notification Changes.." button and run the job. This will propagate and enable all the option in all user record.
7. Run the Learning Plan Email Notification again, and no notifications should be triggered for the updated Learning Plans

This will ensure that you do not have to disable the Enable Email option in Mail Settings and also will trigger all other emails to users without any issue.

NOTE: Item reassignment notifications are not governed by any settings and are sent by default whenever a change occurs to online content. The settings mentioned above do not control whether a notification is sent when content is modified or removed. They only determine whether a notification is sent when an item is added to or updated in a user’s learning plan.
