2564789 - Two Messages Sent for Every Update Leaving C4C in Web Service Message Monitor

Symptom

In the Web Service Message Monitoring, you see two messages of the same type for each update that is sent from C4C to an external system.

One of these has a party value and one does not.

The contents of the payloads for each are very similar, with the key difference being that the web message without the party value contains external IDs and mappings.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

Pre-requisites: You have a working communication scenario between C4C and an external system (e.g. ERP) and you trigger an outgoing web service.

  1. Go to the Administrator work center.
  2. Open the Web Service Message Monitoring view.
  3. Observe the outgoing messages.

Cause

One of the web messages is created for internal C4C purposes (with party value), one is created to update external systems.

Resolution

No action required, this is expected behaviour.
