2564802 - Error - 'Cost center is in profit center for asset not exist' occurs while changing the Cost Center for the Fixed asset

While changing the Cost Center of a Fixed asset, error 'Cost center ABC is in profit center DEF for asset GHI not exist' occurs.

ABC stands for the Cost Center ID.
DEF stands for the Profit Center ID
GHI stands for the Fixed asset ID.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Work Center Fixed Assets.
2. Select the subview Fixed Assets.
3. Click on Edit Master Data.
4. Go to tab Master Data.
5. Add Cost Center.
6. Enter a Date.
7. Enter the new Cost Center.
8. Give Save.
9. Error message: 'Cost center ABC is in profit center DEF for asset GHI not exist' will be visible.

The Cost Center 'ABC' belongs to a different Profit Center because of this system is not accepting the Cost Center change for the Fixed asset 'GHI'.

1. Go to the Work Center Fixed Assets.
2. Select the subview Fixed Assets.
3. Navigate to Edit Master Data.
4. Go to tab Master Data.
5. Add Cost Center.
6. Highlight the Profit Center and delete it.
7. Highlight and delete the Cost Center.
8. Enter the new Profit Center.
9. Enter the new Cost Center.
10. Select the date from which the changes are valid.
11. Save it.
