2565803 - MM01: The material number contains special characters that are not allowed Message no. M3564 with special characther '+' char

Symptom

  • When we create a manufacturer part number  (MPN) material with MM01 and add a plus sign past the point of position 18 it throws an error M3564 mentioning special characters but the plus sign is not one of them.
