2565963 - Employee ID Differs From User ID in Maintain Business Users App

Symptom

The User ID in the Maintain Business Users app does not match with the ID that was specified while importing employees

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Import an employee using the Import Employees app
  2. Now in the Employee Fact Sheet app view the user to see the Employee ID as well as the Personnel Number
  3. Open the Maintain Business Users app and search for the user name of the employee
  4. View the details of the business user and notice that the Person ID and User ID do not match with the Employee ID and Personnel Number that were seen in the fact sheet

Cause

The User ID and Person ID in the Maintain Business Users app will be generated when the business user is created

Resolution

This is expected behaviour, the employee will have a different ID than the business user by default
