Symptom
How to enable the 'Item-Based Event' recording in the "Add to Learning History" tool for users.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Access Learning Homepage >
- On the Dropdown menu, access "Add to Learning History" >
- The option to add "Item-Based Event" is not available.
Cause
The user does not have the necessary permissions to record Learning History for an Item-Based Event.
Resolution
For the users to see this option, the permission "Access Record Learning Events" (*) must be in their role. To add this:
- Learning Administration >
- People > Users > Search and access the desired user account >
- "User Details" tab > "Role" box > Get the user's role ID/name >
- System Administration > Security > Role Management > Search and access the user's role that was previously checked >
- "Permissions" tab >
- Click the "add one or more from list" >
- Expand "Learning" > Select "Access Add to Learning History" > Click "Add" > Then, "OK".
*The "Access Add to Learning History" permission also controls the availability of the "Add" button in the "Learning History" section. If this permission is removed, the button will not be available.
