Resolution

Enabling Search Inactive Users in the Global Header

  1. The SOLR People Search is enabled in Provisioning (the backend). Please engage your Implementation Partner for assistance
  2. Once that has been completed, follow the guide below to enable the Show Inactive User in People Search feature (requires Role-based Permissions) via the Admin Center:

IMPORTANT: Once this feature is enabled, all users with access to People Search will be able see inactive users in search results.

Configuring People Search to Allow Searching by Additional Keywords

  • The “User Search” RBP permission is required for People Search and its visibility is limited by the permission’s Target Population.

Note: In order to be able to Search Inactive Users in the Global Header, users must also have the permission Manage Recruits/Manage Hires > Include Inactive Employees in the search This allows control over who can and cannot search for inactive users.

NOTE: The settings under "Company System and Logo Settings > Show inactive user in people search" is removed from Enhanced People Search and is not applicable for Enhanced People Search.  Above configurations is only applicable for Legacy Search.
