2567071 - German Umlaut chars Polish national chars incorrectly handled with UTF8BIN - SAP IQ

Symptom

UTF8BIN collation doesn't handle non-English chars, such as German umlaut chars and Polish national chars correctly.

  • The function ASCII on an umlaut char or Polish national chars returns NULL.
  • UPPER/UCASE and LOWER/LCASE functions on an umlaut char or on Polish national chars or on any non-English char don't convert the chars to upper/lower case.
