2567354 - How to Change Employees Name

When user try to change employees' names But Name field is greyed out in Personnel administration work center, only could change values of contact, bank data, etc.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Personnel Administration work center
2. Go to Employee work center view
3. Select Edit
4. User found Name field is greyed out which is unable to edit.

This is standard system behavior, once name is applied in one period, it is not allowed to change name in this period.

User can only add a new period for different name.

1. Go to Personnel Administration work center
2. Go to Employee work center view
3. Choose Edit
4. Go to Personal Data tab
5. Go to Biographical Data tab
6. Here user can add row for employee, in different period, they could have different names.

Change of the name is only possible when Employee view is available under Business Partner Data work center since Personnel Administration work center is not used.
