2567641 - Route Maps - Unable to Rate Form due to Comment Only Step Mode - Performance Management

On a particular step, the user is unable to rate the form even though proper permissions are provided

 SAP SuccessFactors Performance and Goals

• Performance Management v12 Acceleration
• Manage Route Maps

1.  Go to Manage Templates > Edit Fields and Sections > Show advanced options...
2. Confirm that the form is rateable, and does not have any section or field permissions that will prevent writing to the form
3. Launch the form
4. Route the form to the affected step
5. Despite having write access, the ratings are greyed out and the user is unable to rate

If the form's permissions are not the issue, it's likely a problem with the route map. If the route step where you see the problem is set to Comments Only such as seen in the image below, then that's what's preventing edits to the form.

To correct this, simply change Step Mode from Comment Only to Full Edit. You can make this change either to the Route Map template for future form launches, or via Modify Form Route Map for forms already launched. Please refer to their individual KB articles for instructions on how to get to the route step.

Once you have followed the correct instructions to get to the affected route map, you need to follow these steps:

1. Click on Show advanced options...
2. Click on Step Mode
3. Instead of Comment Only, choose Full Edit
4. Click Save (if in Manage Route Maps) or Next (if in Modify Form Route Map

If you made changes with Manage Route Maps, the next step is to launch new forms. If you used Modify Form Route maps, then changes have been applied real-time.
