Symptom

This KBA aims to clarify the usage of IT3228 for Brazilian employees.

The Brazilian labor reform established the following changes to union dues (contribuição sindical):

  • The union dues payment changes from mandatory to optional.
  • The employee has to authorize the deduction of the union dues from his or her payment.

To address this, the international infotype 3228 was enabled to Brazil.
