2567940 - No Reporting Structure Available When Creating Distribution Rule

You are creating a new distribution rule under Cost and Revenue, however no records are shown in the financial reporting structure dropdown.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Cost and Revenue work center.
2. Go to Distribution Rule view.
3. Fill in cost center and set of books.
4. Change the Distribution Basis to Group of G/L Accounts (Origin).
5. Click the Financial Reporting Structure dropdown.

You see that no records are shown in the dropdown.

The financial reporting structures of type Cost Center and Project Cost Structure does not have a char of accounts assigned.

For the company to which you are creating the distribution rule, there is an assigned chart of accounts. The system tries to find out the relevant reporting structure for this chart of accounts. Since there is no char of accounts assigned to the reporting structure in business configuration, the derivation fails.

You need to maintain a char of accounts for the reporting structure. The structures can be found as follows:

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the main project and open the activity list.
4. Open the fine-tune activity Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.
5. Click Edit financial reporting structures.
