SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Scenario 1: Moving by action button or change status

1. Login as recruiter.
2. Go to recruiting.
3. Go to the candidate application for any candidate and leave some required fields blank.
4. Change the status of the candidate to a new one. Save the application.
5. Error is seen.

Scenario 2: Moving by drag and drop

1. Login as recruiter.
2. Go to recruiting.
3. Go to the candidate application for any candidate and leave some required fields blank.
4. Select a candidate and drag him to target status from the source status.
5. Candidate will be successfully moved to the target status. No Error seen

With Standard Application Method:

1. By changing status (Open Candidate record -> change status drop down -> Save Flow --> Changing an applicant status) it requires all required fields on the application visible to this operator in this status to be filled in. (Please refer handbook for more information)
2. Move candidate from action drop down or drag & drop action flow --> Changing an applicant status in this way does not require fields to be validated and candidate successfully moved as per design

With Standard Application and Multistage:

1. Multistage environment in any flow, all required fields for all operators must be filled out before a recruiting user can successfully change the applicant’s status to any In Progress status. An applicant can be moved to a disqualification status at any point, regardless of whether or not required fields are completed.

With Late Stage application:

1. By changing status (Open Candidate record -> change status drop down -> Save Flow --> Public field is visible/editable by both the candidate and operator) in a late stage application, this field will be validated while moving the candidate to another status. Non-public field is visible/editable only by the operator, for late stage application, this should be validated.
2. By moving candidate from action drop down or drag & drop action flow --> If any required field in Application where recruiter has access and public= False, (Ex. Bonus Fields) the application status change in application will validate all the fields and will throw the error. 

This is an expected behavior for Forwarded Candidates. The required fields validation is not enforced by the system if you drag and drop a Forwarded candidate from one status of the talent pipeline to another. If you move the candidate to the other status through other ways, the validation is enforced.

For Applicants, the permissions will behave according to multistage or single stage application set up in Provisioning.
