2569049 - Online Item Status report is showing training as incomplete after the item was completed

When the Online Item Status report is ran, column "User Finished" is displaying the value "No".

However, upon checking the user's Learning History, the item is completed. There seems to be a discrepancy of the data.

1. Check the user Learning History and confirm the item was completed.

2. Go to the "Reports" tab and run the report Online Item Status for the same user and item.
3. Even if the user completed the item and it is listed in the Learning Plan, the report shows that the user did not finish the training.

This issue can occur for multiple reasons:

• The user started the training but the completion status was recorded by an Admin before the user finished the training.
• The item was completed, but the user never got the completion for the content, which is why the column 'User Finished' will display the value 'No'.
• The User has completed the content, the completion was recorded and the content was then accessed again by the User and the Database tables were overwritten. When the User accessed the second time the User partially went through the course leaving none completed status on the content object.
• The Content post completion has sent another communication to the LMS with incomplete status.
• Item has retraining or has been assigned again.

• In this report, 'User Credit Given' column can be used to identify if the item was completed for a user.
• If you need to adjust the value for column 'User Finished', it will be necessary to delete the learning event using the 'Edit Learning History' tool and record a new learning event.
• Customer can try reproduce the issue or contact the affected User to get further information on each case. If there is an issue with the content please discuss the issue with your content vendor.

Explanation of the Online Item Status Report Logic:

• The Online Item Status report will show the most recent record based on the CREATE_DATE of the record in the PA_CBT_STUD_CPNT
• This report does not take into consideration whether or not a completion status/date exists and most importantly only shows the most recent (based on CREATE_DATE) record
• This is the functionality that is intended and shows the most recent because retraining or reassignment may occur
• It is intended to report on the latest (most recent based on creation date) status of all ASSIGNED online items
• “Assigned” means the item is on the user’s learning plan (see the assigned items without filters in new admin UI)
• This is not a history report, and will only report on the most recent, and will not include other prior history records
• Use this report to track the status of a current assignment
• If the item was assigned and after the completion it was removed from the user (by an Assignment Profile (AP), or by an admin, etc.), the user data will be deleted from the table PA_STUD_CPNT, therefore for those users there will be no data in the Online Item Status report. To check if the assignment was deleted, please run the User Learning Plan Audit Report for those users.
• If the settings "Add to History on Failure" and "Remove Item from Learning Plan" are checked abd upon failure in in the online content settings, then when user failed, the item will be removed from the Learning Plan and user data will also be deleted from the table PA_STUD_CPNT. Thus there will also be no data in the Online Item Status report.
• Instead, use the Learning History report to check the completion event for those users
