2569059 - Analytical Object was deleted in your system

Symptom

You created an analytical object in your system (for example: report; data source; selection; view; dashboard; KPI; key figure) but now it is not available anymore.

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Cause

There are several reasons why an object got deleted. The most common one is that a key or business user deleted it.

The system does not have any concept of maintaining change history for these objects, so we cannot revert the object to a previous stage.

Resolution

There are no change logs or any other information available related to the deletion of the analytical object. Keeping these data logs increases performance issues in the system, due to too much data and this is why change logs are not kept.

Unfortunately, we cannot confirm who deleted the object.

Our suggestion is to rebuild the content which has been lost or changed.
