Resolution

There are three Nomination Methods that you can configure for Succession Planning: Role-Person, (Legacy) Positions and MDF Positions. See below instructions on how to identify which one is configured for your instance by reviewing the Succession Org Chart:

  • If you go to the Succession Org Chart and see the option to search by Positions and People, you have the MDF Positions nomination method configured. This is the only method that allows you to search by Positions (title and code).
  • If you don't have the option to search by Position, you either have Legacy Positions or Role-Person. You can click on one of the Org Chart nodes to open the Position Card menu and review the options available:
    • If you have Hide Position and/or Delete Position, you have the Legacy Positions nomination method.

    • If you have Hide Profile, you have the Role-Person nomination method.
