2569692 - Application Error when approving New Hire workflow

Symptom

  •  Customer is trying to approve a new hire workflow, but at the moment they hit save, the system is getting application error

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - All Versions

Reproducing the Issue

  1.  Go to My Pending Request
  2.  Select the workflow for new hire
  3.  Try to Approve

Cause

  •  A required field is empty

Resolution

  • After a the workflow was generated, a regular field was converted to required or the picklist was removed, then the field for this new employee is empty and you will get the application error. 
  • Select update in the workflow and navigate for the sections to identify the required field that is missing
