Symptom

  • HTTP access to the Java server fails.
  • The Java server log files (/usr/sap/<SID>/<inst_nr>/work/dev_serverX) recorded the following entry:

F  [Thr 100188] *** WARNING => ShmWebSession_find: Cannot find web session 3sUJSboArHcaF8JsHVkq5RTi_YHoXgG_wGcA_SAPkdVa3fmbnPI1EGKoWc7_NfHX 0016f5d2 (rc = 14 no permission). [sfxxjshm.c   3694]

  • The developer trace file may contain the following entry:

Thread[HTTP Worker [@212257765],5,Dedicated_Application_Thread]#Plain#com.sap.engine.services.monitor.mbeans.MonitorResourceBundle#
Can not create shm web object. Possible out of shm free slots. Check the shared memory configuration#

  • The Java instance has more than one server nodes.
  • In front of ICM there is an Apache web server which forwards HTTP requests to ICM with empty cookies.
