2570318 - Inconsistent Delivery Terms in Intrastat Declaration for Italy

Symptom

You are creating an Intrastat Declaration ID for the country Italy however the Delivery Terms are inconsistent in the document and not recognised by the system.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Intrastat work center
  2. Go to the Intrastat Declarations view
  3. Show All Declarations and find the relevant Declaration ID
  4. Select Edit and go to the Items tab
  5. Select an inconsistent line
  6. Check the dropdown list for the Delivery Terms field
  7. The value currently present in the Delivery Terms field is not available in the dropdown list. It has been wrongly created by the system.

Cause

Due to the specificity of Italian intrastat declarations, the Delivery Terms data is stored in a unique way for Italy. As the data is processed differently, the system marks it as inconsistent.

Resolution

The error you encountered will not hinder the release of the declaration. You have the option to release the declaration and utilize the Export function to generate the Excel file. In the case of Italy, the declaration file employs a single letter to represent the delivery terms. To ensure compatibility, you can manually modify the value in the Excel file to the first letter of the corresponding delivery term before saving it as a .CSV file. For instance, you would use `E` instead of `Ex works`.
