Extension field value cleared after performing other actions during document creation and update.

Reproducing the Issue


You have already created an extension field and added it to several extension scenarios.

We will use Leads as example.

  1. Go to the Sales work centre.
  2. Select the Leads view.
  3. Click the New button.
  4. Fill in mandatory fields.
  5. Fill in field ABC (ABC represents the name of the extension field).
  6. Click the Check for Duplicates button.
  7. Choose the Account facet.
  8. Click the Associate Account button.

You see that the value from field ABC was cleared.


The extension field is part of several extension scenarios. If the value is blank in one of the other UI’s when the user is performing different actions the extension scenario gets triggered and the value is over written to blank.


This is the expected behaviour whenever an extension scenario is involved.

In case the extension scenario is not required it can be removed and the value won’t be cleared.
