2570405 - Team Rating appears as N/A on Variable Pay Worksheets when Employee Rating is defined as the source of its rating.

Symptom

The customer has a Variable Pay Template that has the Team Rating Source configured from Employee Profile > Overall Competency. However, the field is appearing as N/A on the worksheet when everything appears to be configured correctly.

Reproducing the Issue

Navigate to:

  1. Admin Centre
  2. Compensation
  3. Compensation Home
  4. Variable Pay Template
  5. Plan Setup
  6. Settings
  7. Set Bonus Calculation 
  8. Team
  9. Rating Source
  10. Employee Profile

    11.Now, navigate to Employee Profile and we can see that the user has a relevant rating:

    12. Click the Edit Icon to check where the rating is sourced and we see that it comes from a PM Form:

    13.We can see in Configure People Profile (which you can navigate to from Admin Centre) that Overall Competency is configured correctly:

    14.Now, if we launch forms for a user they will have the rating displayed as N/A on the Variable Pay Worksheet in the field which Column Id is totalTeamRating.

Cause

  • The system will only support Employee Profile ratings originating in Calibration and Live Profile.
  • It can be identified by the module name visible in the Employee Profile rating portlets.
  • In the third screenshot (from above), the Employee Profile is sourced form module "Performance Manager". This ratings from "Performance Manager" are not supported.

Resolution

  1. It will work when getting the rating from PM side directly. Please set rating source as "Performance Management" instead of "Employee Profile" and the correct Team Rating will appear.
