2570792 - Salary increase is miscalculating in German language

Symptom

When the logged in user's language is German, then changing percentage in pop-up calculator is calculating incorrect value for a Pay Component.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

Employee Central: New People Profile (PP3)
Employee Central: Compensation Information

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Change logged in user's language to German from Options -> Change Language
  2. Search for a user and navigate to the user's Compensation Information portlet
  3. Edit the portlet and go to any existing Pay Component in the portlet. Notice the Amount value.

  4. Click on the Calculator and type 99.91 in the Percentage field (middle field) and see that the Change amount (top field) and Total amount (bottom field) are calculated incorrectly.

Resolution

The Change Percent field value was entered as 99.91. Since we are using German locale, we should enter 99,91. Please note that we are using comma instead of dot. This will resolve the issue.
