2571013 - Unable to Confirm Delivery for Shopping Cart

Symptom

Confirm Delivery button is disabled for Shopping Cart.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Home work center.
  2. Go to Self Services view. 
  3. Go to My Requests sub-view. 
  4. Filter with "Shopping Carts - Open for Confirmation".

Confirm Delivery and Quick Confirm Delivery buttons are disabled.

Cause

The possible causes for this behavior are listed below:

Cause 1 - The question "Do you want to allow your employees to confirm the receipt of goods or the completion of services?" is currently not scoped. 

Cause 2 - The quantity in the Shopping Cart doesn't match the quantity in the Purchase Order. The system expects the same quantity. 

Cause 3 - Confirm Delivery button is only enabled for Requester or Creator of the Shopping Cart. If another user selects the Shopping Cart, the button will not be enabled. 

Cause 4 - If the item is a limit item type, the Quick Confirm Delivery button will not be available. 

Cause 5 - Goods and Services Receipt Expected should be checked in the Basic Data of the Purchase Order that was created as a follow-up to the Shopping Cart.

Resolution

This section shows the Resolution for Cause 1.

Resolution for Cause 1 - The steps to enable the scoping question to activate the button are:

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select the relevant implementation project. 
  4. Click on Edit Project Scope button.
  5. Navigate to step 4 Questions.
  6. Expand Purchasing.
  7. Expand Self-Service Procurement.
  8. Expand Shopping Carts.
  9. Under Decentralized Goods and Services Receipts, mark the question "Do you want to allow your employees to confirm the receipt of goods or the completion of services?". 
  10. Finish and save it. 

Once the flag is set, the functionality will be enabled.
