2571118 - Error when deleting Patch Solution from SAP Cloud Applications Studio

Symptom

You are trying to delete a Patch Solution from SAP Cloud Applications Studio and it is failing with the following error message:

Phase Transition from IMP_TMPL to DISCARD not allowed in Project Type ONE_OFF.

Environment

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer
SAP Business ByDesign
SAP Cloud Applications Studio

Reproducing the Issue

1. Log on SAP Cloud Applications Studio.
2. Right click on the solution's name.
3. Click on Delete.
4. You get the error message: Phase Transition from IMP_TMPL to DISCARD not allowed in Project Type ONE_OFF.

Cause

The movement from Import to Discard phase of any solution is not allowed. You should not try to delete solutions you just uploaded, it won't work.

Resolution

If somehow you imported a solution you did not want to and now you need to delete it, first activate this solution, then you will be able to delete it without issues.
