2571847 - Error Message: "File Upload Error" When Uploading File Using Mass Data Maintenance

You trying to import a file in Mass Data Maintenance, but receive error message "File Upload Error."

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Mass Data Maintenance work center
2. Select the import link for the relevant object you want to import (example: Import Materials)
3. Click the Browse button to select the source file
4. Once selected, click Upload
5. System raises the mentioned error message

Commas (,) maintained in text values in the field mighth be misunderstood with the separators .CSV file and can cause this issue.

In the upload screen, change the Text Qualifier field from double quotes (") to comma (,) and upload the file

An additional best practice is, when exporting the .CSV file, to keep only the columns which will be updated with new data.
