Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open a form
  2. Scroll to the Development section
  3. Click on 'Edit' or the pencil icon
  4. Error Popup

Cause

The user does not have permission defined in the Development Plan XML.

Example: If a HR does not have permission to view an employees private or public Development goals, in the Development Plan, they will not be able to edit the Development section in a PM form either.

Note: if a User has permission to view Public Development goals and the goal changes to Private, the same issue will occur.

Resolution

The permission has to be changed in the Development Goal template to allow the user access to the Development Goal data. From the above example, if the user is the  HR, then the corresponding permission role is 'EH' and this has to be added to the Development template xml.

This change is done by your Partner/ Consultant or Professional Services - see KBA below for details.
