2573303 - Workschedule Starting Date not Effective Dated

• Is the System Capable of selecting a workschedule with a future starting date?
• Why can I select a Work Schedule with a future starting date for a pre-existing position?

• SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1.  Create a new Workschedule that has a future 'Starting Date' (in my example I selected 1/1/2018)
   
2. Create a new Position that is effective prior to the starting date of the new work schedule (12/01/2017)

Result:

• When you create the new position, you can select the new work schedule even though it has a future starting date that comes after the positions starting date.

• The Work Schedule Object is not effective dated in the system
• The "Starting Date" field in Work schedule is not an effective dated field

• This is expected system behavior
• The start date of the work schedule is used to derive the first day of the week which is necessary to calculate the planned hours per day based on the defined patttern (either via planned working time per day or work schedule day model assignment per day)
